My Mission is to Empower Your Life
Transform your life and achieve your goals with professional and personalized support.
I am an artist, designer, and award winning author whose multidisciplinary career spans fine art, visual communication, education, and publishing.
I have worked extensively across the heritage and education sectors, with professional experience in universities and colleges, cultural centres, museums, historical societies, and libraries. My rich background in research and visual communication, paired with my institutional understanding of how people learn, interact with information, and how knowledge is organized, enables me to create impactful practices and solutions for individuals and organizations.
In my debut book, My Student Toolbox: From Struggling to Thriving, I share the real strategies and methods I used during my own university journey to help me move from struggling to thriving. With a practical, customizable approach, my guide offers high school, college, and university students a flexible framework to build their own personal toolkit for academic and lifelong success.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Art History from McMaster University, a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary History with a focus on Medieval Studies from Central European University in Budapest, and a Master of Library and Information Studies from McGill University, specializing in archives. I also hold professional accreditation from the American Library Association.
How the book came to be:
In 2023, while spending time with a good friend of mine, she tells me she’s decided to change careers and she’s returning to university as a mature student. This is very exciting! She says can’t wait to start, but I can sense that there’s something more. She shares some of her worries with me. What if I cant keep up in my courses, or I wont know how to study, and the stress is too much?
Those are the fears so many students carry.
She asked me if I had any strategies and advice to share with her from completing my 3 degrees. My academic journey wasn’t easy. I had more difficult years than easy ones. I experienced burnout. Overwhelm. Anxiety. I had to figure everything out the hard way, but I did it. So I started thinking about what helped me and I shared my strategies and systems with her.
At the end of her first semester, she tells me my strategies and advice made all the difference. She says I wouldn’t have been able to pass my courses without you.” And “I bet these could really help others too.”
And that was my call.
* Because she’s not one person. She’s thousands.
I remembered all the stress, suffering, and burnout I went through, and I thought if I could save someone even just a fraction of that pain, then it’ll be worth it. Students everywhere are intelligent and capable, but they are overwhelmed. Not because they can’t learn, but because no one teaches them how to manage learning.
I realized something powerful: You don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
You can fast-track your success by learning from someone else’s experience, and others could learn from mine.
So I started writing My Student Toolbox: From Struggling to Thriving: Your Student Success Guide. I did it to help students: Increase their learning success rate, reduce their learning stress rate, and build a strong academic foundation step by step.
And I wrote it the way I wish someone had written it for me: practical, structured, usable, and real. It would provide a framework and examples, but it would also contain crucial experiences and life lessons that I picked up along the way.
In 2025, I published My Student Toolbox to help others to also succeed in school too.
